IC7300 MUST ReadMe.TXT

This package includes programs developed by K7HCP for use in the Radio Ham shack.
This IC7300 program was developed to specifically support the ICOM IC-7300. 
Use the IC-7300 USB/COMM (CAT) CI-V Remote Interface cable to connect the Radio to a Windows computer USB port. 

The package includes the following programs:

* IC7300.exe - full function PC radio operation and memory management. 
* Dipole.exe - calculates dipole & vertical antenna & feed line lengths.  
* Bearing.exe - calculates bearing & distance from one Lat/Long to anoither Lat/Long.

The package also includes the following run time files. If they are not present they will be created at 1st run. 

Edit them to personalize for your desired operation.

* IC7300.ini - defines program run time environment.
				(modify the COMx port number to the specific Comm port number used on your computer (see note below).

NOTE: To determine which Com port is used on your computer, do the following:
	Control Panel > Device Manager > Ports (Com & Lpt) > COMx.
	- OR -
	This PC > Right Click > Properties > Device Mamager > Ports (Com & Lpt) > COMx.

* IC7300.txt - favorite radio memory assignments - edit as desired but pay attention to the columns used. (Do not use TABs - instead use SPACE characters to separate data into the proper columns.)

* Bearing.txt - operational values for the program - enter your LAT LONG coordinates.

The package also includes the following dependency modules required to support program run time. 
They should reside in the same folder as the IC7300.EXE program file. 

* Vbrun300.dll
* Msvbvm60.dll
* MsComm32.ocx
